About Us

The Miles family began involvement in funeral service in Cowley County, Kansas during the mid-1940's. Following his return from W.W. II service, Hayward and his wife Doris Miles began operation of Miles Mortuary in Burden, Kansas, and later at Cedar Vale, Kansas. These firms continued operation for 50 years. During the late 1970's, their son, David Miles, began operation of Miles Funeral Service in Winfield, Kansas, and continued the family professional tradition until his passing in 2017 and the Miles professional services passed to the Beeson family. Miles Funeral Service continues to operate as a family owned funeral home with the values and integrity that began over 60 years ago, providing area residents unparalleled service with remarkable economy, state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, outstanding staff, and unequaled care to those we serve.
