Obituary

Zoa Bernice White Manny, 95, of Winfield, Kansas was born September 2, 1921. During her childhood her family traveled the Midwest to find work as a flour miller. Her family settled in Oxford, Kansas, where she spent the majority of her youth. Her family was an instrumental part of the construction of the Oxford Mill. As a teenager, she contracted Measles which caused her to lose some hearing in her ears.

She loved to sing and loved to attend worship. After graduating from high school, she was trained to be a beautician. She practiced this trade in Winfield, Kansas. A client of hers decided to set her up on a blind date. That client was her future mother-in-law.

On January 12, 1941, she married Gene Manny. Gene joined the efforts in the Navy during World War II, and they traveled across the United States. After World War II ended, they ran a hardware store in downtown Winfield. They also ran Manny Hearing Aid Center during the late 1970's, 80's and 90's.

She was a member of the Presbyterian and Methodist Churches. She left to join the Lord on December 8, 2016. She was preceded in death by her brothers, James and Frank White and her husband, Gene Manny.

Her family includes:
Her daughter: Jennis Irvin of Winfield;
Her granddaughters: Ginger Davidson and husband, Ken of Bella Vista, AR; Nancy Hasak and husband, Jason of Shawnee Mission;
Her great grandsons: Ben and William Davidson of Bella Vista, AR.
