ZACHARY BAILEY, 20, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away early Saturday morning, February 8, 2014 in Arkansas City.

Born June 19, 1993 in Winfield, he was the son of Patricia Kent and Kevin Bailey. He was raised and educated in Winfield attending Holy Name Catholic School and Winfield High School. Zach was involved in youth football, the Winfield Wrestling Club and the Winfield Warriors Baseball.

Zach enjoyed the outdoors including fishing and camping. He especially loved hanging out with his friends and being the life of the party.

His family includes:
His mother: Tricia Nation and husband, Toby of Winfield;
His brothers: Andrew and Isaac Bailey of Winfield;
His sisters: Megan Davis and husband, Matt of Manhattan; Emily Bailey, Lexi Peters and Olivia Nation all of Winfield;
His paternal grandfather: Gary "Butch" Bailey of Winfield;
His nephew: Quintin Monroe; and
Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Zach was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Patricia Bailey, his maternal grandparents, Mary and Gene Kent, his father, Kevin Bailey, his uncles, Greg and Tom Kent, aunt, Kathy Kent and his cousin, Amanda Kent.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Name Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Tisdale Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening at 7:00 P.M. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

A Memorial has been established to help defray funeral expenses. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
