Obituary

William J. Wysocki, 51, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024, at his home.

Born November 22, 1972, in St. Paul, Nebraska, he was the son of Robert and Patricia (Bergmann) Wysocki.  He was raised and received his education in Winfield, attending Winfield High School.  After school, he began working as a roofer for Cover Right Roofing before being self-employed in the construction industry.  He later started his career with Calmar, staying with the company as it became Silgan, and becoming a supervisor.

Billy enjoyed doing renovations on his home and working with plants in his greenhouse.  He also loved animals and enjoyed fishing, drawing, and working on art projects.  He was known as a great cook, cooking for all family get-togethers.

His family includes his siblings Suzanne Kendall and husband, Justin of Lawrence; Tonya Wolinski and husband, Derek of Cotesfield, NE; Sean Wysocki of Elba, NE; Sami Kayl and husband, Brady of Grand Island, NE; Alexa Bilava and husband, Mark of Elkhorn, NE; his niece Ally Wysocki and husband, Nathan Allen of Wellington; his nephew Frugi Hall of Winfield; his step-dad Lee Hall of Winfield; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by a sister Elizabeth (Hall) Cropek.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Miles Funeral Service.  Private family interment will be held at Highland Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled at the funeral home on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 4 to 8. The family will greet visitors from 4 to 6 that evening.

A memorial has been established in Billy's name for the Cowley County Humane Society.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
