William "Bill"
Henry Kenyon, Sr.
July 8, 1932 – May 21, 2022
William "Bill" Henry Kenyon, Sr., went to meet his Maker on May 21, 2022.
Bill was born July 8, 1932, in Binghamton, NY to parents Leo and Mable Kenyon. He was the 8th of 13 children. Bill apprenticed as a carpenter at an early age which became his lifetime work. In his retirement he drove a school bus for eight years and did light carpentry work well into his 80's.
Bill could build anything. He built several homes from excavation to plumbing, to electrical, to finish carpentry - the skills of which he was renown in the area. He often whistled while he worked, although it was never a song anyone knew.
Bill joined the Army on his 18 th birthday and served his country as an infantryman in the Korean War. He was a proud member of the American Legion for most of his life.
Bill was quick with a joke and enjoyed hearing one. When introducing himself to others he'd say, "I'm Sweet William by day, and Wild Bill at night."
He is survived by his five children: Bill (Sheila); Becky; Trudy (Russ); Eric (Phylis); Mark (Dona); stepdaughter Nicole, 2 siblings: Marvin (Ida) and Patty; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 1 great great. He was adored by many nieces and nephews.
