WILLIAM B. ELE, 86, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Monday afternoon, April 27, 2015 at the Wellington Health and Rehab Center in Wellington.
Born on January 5, 1929 in Valley Center, Kansas, he was the son of Luther Benson and Effie Edna (Ward) Ele. He received his education in Sedgwick County.
He was united in marriage to Edna L. Isenbart on August 26, 1972 in Derby, Kansas. The couple lived in Mulvane before moving to Winfield in 1973. He owned and operated a carpet store as well as installed carpet. He later owned and operated Land Rover Bus Tours. He retired in 1996. Mrs. Ele preceded him in death on September 4, 1998.
He enjoyed golf and bowling. William bowled 91 hours and 8 minutes straight for a contest.

His step-son: Billy Almond and wife, Marsha of Overbrook, KS;
His step-daughter: Kimberly Imel and husband, Rod of Arkansas City, KS;
His sisters: Gladys Kraft of Mulvane, KS; Betty Benjamin of Haysville, KS; and Susan Panther of Shawnee, OK; and
His grandchildren, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, Bill was preceded in death by his son, Ron Ele.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, May 4, 2015 at Highland Cemetery. A viewing will be held Monday morning from 9:00 A.M., until 12:00 noon.
