Obituary

William Dale Campbell, 58, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 23, 2020 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.

Born July 11, 1961 in Neodesha, Kansas, he was the son of Bobbie Dean and Katherine Lucille (Chisham) Campbell. He was raised and received his education in Arkansas City, Kansas, graduating from Arkansas City High School in 1977. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served his country in the Persian Gulf.

In 1983, Bill received an honorable discharge from the Navy and enrolled in Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri where he received a master's degree in psychology and ministry. Bill enjoyed missionary work and spent time in Africa, Australia, and Korea. While in Korea, he taught English as a second language. In 2008, he returned to Winfield, where he continued his love of ministry to people.

He was a member of Millington Street Baptist Church. He enjoyed history, firearms, and spending time with family.

His family includes his three siblings, Robert Dan Campbell and wife, Theresa of Sedan; Janice Marie Sorrell and husband, Jeff of Collinsville, OK; Tommy Dean Campbell and wife, Susan of Winfield; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a sister Earlene Williams, and an infant sister Augretta Naomi Campbell.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, February 28, 2020 at Miles Funeral Service. Inurnment and Military Committal Honors will follow at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery.
