William C. "Bill" Felts, 91, of Winfield, Kansas passed away peacefully March 24, 2020 at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, Kansas.

In accordance with Bill's wishes, his family will have a private memorial service.

Bill was born August 10, 1928, the son of Lester and Leona Felts in Independence, Kansas. He graduated from College High School in Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 1946. Bill served seven years in the United States Army. After leaving the army as a Second Lieutenant, Bill continued his education, graduating from Oklahoma A&M (now OSU). While at college, he met and married his wife of almost seventy years, Virginia E. Bryan. Bill moved his family to Winfield, Kansas in 1958 where he started Felts Oil Company; owning and operating service stations then convenience stores. Bill retired in 1990 and moved to his lake house at Grand Lake, Oklahoma enjoying many years of traveling the car show circuit, winning multiple awards with his beloved cars.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson Bryan C. Felts.

Bill is survived by his loving wife Virginia Felts of the home; sons, Michael B. and wife, Lynn Felts of Winfield; and Neil C. and wife, Leslie Felts of Winfield; three grandchildren, Thomas Felts of Emporia, Drew Felts of Winfield, and Kaitlyn Mans of Winfield; and six great grandchildren, Wyatt and Carter of Emporia, Jayden, Luna, Ronan, and Maisie all of Winfield.

Memorials have been established in Bill's name for Harry Hynes Hospice and for First United Methodist Church of Winfield. Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service.
