Wayne Grant Shaw, 78, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Sunday evening, July 10, 2022, at his home.

Born April 9, 1944, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he was the son of Lincoln Grant Jr., and Vivian (Eskridge) Shaw. He was raised and received his education in Derby, Kansas, graduating from Derby High School in 1962.

Wayne married Myrna Lou Crum on July 7, 1963, in Denver, Colorado. The couple made their home in Winfield. To this union, four children were born. The couple later divorced. In 1986, he married Marilyn Green. The couple later divorced. In 1996, Wayne met his life partner Candy Harper. The couple lived in Winfield until her passing in 2009. Wayne worked most of his career for Hawk's Interstate Exterminators. He later worked for Jim Warren doing remodels and maintenance in real estate.

His family includes his children, Rhonda Thomas of Winfield; Samantha Overbey of Dexter; Chuck Shaw of Newkirk, OK; Rachel Rush of Seattle, WA; Porsche Harper of Winfield; his sister Joyce Lawyer of Haysville; and 27 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and Candy Harper, Wayne was preceded in death by a daughter April Berry.

Private family services will be held at a later date under the direction of Miles Funeral Service.

A memorial has been established in Wayne's name to defray funeral expenses. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
