WARREN DEAN TEBOW, 85, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday evening, October 20, 2010 at his home.
Born August 27, 1925 in Courtland, Kansas, he was the son of Earl and Clara (Tracy) Tebow. Warren graduated from Courtland High School in 1943.
He lived in the northern Kansas area until he moved his family to Winfield, Kansas in the early 1960's. In recent years, they moved to Sand Springs to be near family. However, Winfield was and always will be called home.
"Pops" never met a stranger. Anyone that knew him, loved him. He could sit down and talk to anyone as if he had known them forever. He was a farmer for several years in northern Kansas. Then, when they moved to Winfield, he worked for the Co-op for 30 years as manager, assistant manager, as well as manager of the feed mill. He served on the district water board and the Burden Volunteer Fire Department. After retiring, he took up miniature farming and fell in love with his John Deere tractor. This was his pride and joy. He loved to share that joy with his grandkids. He would grin from ear to ear holding a grandchild with one hand and steering with the other.
His family includes:
His love and wife for 34 years: Dorothy Tebow of the home;
His son: Jim Tebow and wife, Laura of Greensboro, North Carolina;
His daughters: Cathy Yeager and husband, Gary of Shell Knob, Missouri; and Michelle Luton and husband, Gary of Sand Springs, Oklahoma;
