Walter F. Caton's Obituary
WALTER F. CATON, 78, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Tuesday evening, February 19, 2008 at the Kansas Veterans Home in Winfield.
Born on June 21, 1929 in Little Rock, Arkansas, he was born to Josiah and Lona (Rice) Caton.
Mr. Caton proudly served and retired from the United States Army.
He was united in marriage in 1949 to Rose Baptista in Oakland, California. The couple lived in several places while Walter was in the Army.
Walter was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
His family includes:
His daughters: Sandra Ayala and Debra Howe of Peoria, ILL; Colleen O'Brien of DeSoto, MO; and Rosie Marie Paquet of Rogers, AR;
His brother: Earl Caton;
His sisters: Irene, Teresa and Elizabeth;
His 20 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sons, Clifford Caton and Walter Caton, Jr.; his daughter, Arlene Caton; and his 3 sisters, Sue, Bertha and Rosemary.
Cremation has taken place.
