Virginia S. Kline, 96, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away early Tuesday morning, August 18, 2026, at Cumbernauld Village.
Born November 1, 1929, in Great Bend, Kansas, she was the daughter of William and Nellie (Case) Miller. She was raised and received her education in Great Bend, graduating from Great Bend High School in 1947.
She was united in marriage to Donald M. Kline on April 24, 1954 at the First Presbyterian Church in Great Bend. The couple lived in Great Bend until moving to Winfield in 1963, when they purchased Kline Motors. In 1972, they added Lincoln and Mercury. The couple continued to run the dealership until retiring in 1993 when it was sold to their daughter Kristi and her husband Pat. The dealership is currently owned by Don and Virginia’s grandson Jeremy with their great grandson currently working for the dealership as well. Don preceded her in death on October 11, 2014.
Virginia was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling and shopping.
She is survived by her children, Suzette Kenney and husband, Rick of Centennial, CO; C.A. Kline and wife, Gil of Briagolog, Australia; Kristi Biddle and husband, Pat of Winfield; her grandchildren, Joshua (Kerri), Jeremy (Samantha), Lisa (John), Sean (Max), and Jasper; her great grandchildren, Wyatt (Payton), Riley, Grace, Roman, Luke, Shelby, Caroline, Riley, Morgan, Isaiah, and Benjamin; and great-great grandson Atticus.
In addition to her parents and husband, Virginia was preceded in death by a daughter Shirley Walker.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Highland Cemetery. A visitation will be held prior to the service at Miles Funeral Service beginning at 10:00 AM.
A memorial has been established in Virginia’s name for the Cumbernauld Village Employee Fund. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
