Virginia B. Fairley, 95, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Monday afternoon, December 15, 2014 at William Newton Hospital in Winfield.
Born February 24, 1919 in Peru, Kansas, she was the daughter of Roy and Ella (Sloan) Endicott. She was raised and received her education in Peru, graduating from Peru High School. She then attended Coffeyville Junior College and later Pittsburgh State University where she graduated with a Bachelors Degree.
Virginia was united in marriage to Patrick Fairley on December 24, 1941 in Medford, Oklahoma. The couple made their first home in Chautauqua County where she taught school for 8 years. In 1950 they moved to Kansas City, Missouri where Virginia went to work for Kansas City Life Insurance. She remained at Kansas City Life Insurance for over 30 years until retiring in April of 1981. In 1982 she and Patrick moved to Coffeyville Kansas. Mr. Fairley preceded her in death on September 5, 1991. In 1996 Virginia moved to Winfield, Kansas to be near family.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Independence, Kansas where she served as a Sunday School Teacher. She was also a member of the Christian Women's Fellowship. After moving to Winfield she attended the First Baptist Church.

Her nephews: Gary, Kenny, and Bobby.
In addition to her parents and husband Virginia was preceded in death by her brothers, Roy, Clyde, and Kenny Endicott.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield, Kansas. Interment will follow at the Peru Cemetery in Peru, Kansas.
A memorial has been established in Virginia's name for the First Baptist Church in Winfield. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
