Verna L. Garner, 58, of Cambridge, Kansas, passed away, Sunday evening, November 2, 2014 at Via Christi, St. Francis in Wichita.
Born February 19, 1956 in Wichita, Kansas, she was the daughter of Delmar and Lois (Henne) Goff. She was raised and received her education in south central Kansas, graduating from Arkansas City High School in 1975.
Verna was united in marriage to Raymond Garner on September 19, 1981 in Arkansas City, Kansas. The couple made their first home in Cedar Vale, and in 1993 they moved to Cambridge, Kansas. Verna worked for the Dexter Care Center for over 14 years retiring in 2012. She enjoyed reading, sewing, fabric painting, as well as other crafts.

Verna was preceded in death by her parents.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
A memorial has been established in Mrs. Garner's name for Relay For Life in Winfield. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
