Vanessa Y. Qualls, 43, of Burden, Kansas, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018.
Born January 6, 1975 in Winfield, Kansas, she was the daughter of Jerry and Yvonne (Field) Qualls. While she was young, her mother passed away and Vanessa was raised by her father and step-mother, Susan. She was raised and received her education in Atlanta, attending high school at Central of Burden. After school, Vanessa became a Certified Personal Trainer. In addition to being a Certified Personal Trainer, she worked as a sheet metal mechanic at Textron Aviation. She was a member of Cambridge Baptist Church. She enjoyed being outdoors, working out and had an eye for repurposing old items. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children.

Her brothers: Jerry Qualls, II and wife, Sara of Winfield; Jerry Qualls, III of Atlanta; Dan Shepler and wife, Cathy of San Antonio, TX;
Her sister: Dawn Heady of Wichita; and
Her six nieces and nephews.
Vanessa was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Yvonne Qualls.
The family will hold a memorial gathering at 11:00 A.M., Friday, April 6, 2018 at Cornerstone Christian Church in Atlanta, Kansas. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
