VANCE LEE OLIVER, 23, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Sunday morning, January 25, 2015 in a traffic accident, east of Winfield.
Born on August 20, 1991 in Blythe, California, he was the son of Robert Oliver and Shawna Sterling. He was raised in Arizona and later Winfield where he graduated from Winfield High School in 2010. While in high school he was involved in wrestling, football, choir and baseball.
He attended Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Missouri where he was on the wrestling team. Vance later attended Neosho Community College in Chanute, KS. Vance had been employed at Pizza Hut and Gambinos Pizza.

His paternal grandmother: Julia Martin of Phoenix, AZ;
His paternal grandfather: Terry Martin of Phoenix, AZ; and
A host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday, February 2, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
A memorial has been established in Vance's name for the Winfield Wrestling Take Down Club. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
