Obituary

Tyson R. Harrison, 48, of Augusta, Kansas, passed away Saturday April 10, 2021 in Augusta.

Born July 7, 1972 in El Dorado, Kansas, he was the son of Susan Kay Bannon and Monty Ray Harrison. He was raised in Rock and attended Udall schools until moving to Augusta where he attended Augusta High School.

In the fall of 1991 Tyson married Kimberly Acotto. The couple made their home in Wellington and to this union two daughters were born. The couple later divorced.

Tyson made his home primarily in Kansas, spending most of his life in Butler County and Cowley County. He worked many jobs in his life including, farming, trimming trees, painting, flooring, and working as an over the road truck driver.

His family includes his mother Susan Swanson and husband, Roger of Burden; his brother Dallas Harrison of Burden; his daughters, Johnna Harrison of Wichita; Caitlin Row and husband, Noah of Wellington; and his grandchildren, Korbin, Fallon, Tanner, Shayne, Brynleigh, and Trace.

In addition to his father, Monty Harrison, Tyson was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charley and Lela Bannon, his paternal grandfather Charley Harrison, and his paternal grandmother Talma Frakes Mailen.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Interment will follow at Burden Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to the Burden Fire Department, Burden United Methodist Church, or GracePointe Assembly of God Church in Winfield. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
