TRAVIS BODKINS, 35, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2012.
Born August 7, 1977 in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of Wilfred and Linda (Mays) Bodkins. He was raised in Winfield, attending Country View Elementary School and graduated from Winfield High School with the class of 1996. He attended Kansas State University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science in 2000.
Travis worked various jobs in Manhattan while attending college, and worked as a summer employee for the City of Winfield. Since his graduation from Kansas State University, he has worked in Quality Management positions for various companies in the food industry.
He was united in marriage to Tia Toner on January 8, 2000 in Victoria, Kansas. The couple had two children, Bryson and Carson Bodkins and were currently living in the Omaha, Nebraska area.
Growing up, Travis was active in Cowley County 4-H. He enjoyed spending time with his family and coaching his son's baseball and flag football teams.

Travis was preceded in death by his father, Wilfred Bodkins, his paternal grandparents, Earnest and Nadine Bodkins, and his maternal grandparents, John Albert and Bessie Mays.
Private Graveside Memorial services will be held at the Burden Cemetery in Burden, Kansas. The family will greet visitors on Sunday, October 14, from 5 to 7 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Travis' name for his children's education. Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service.
