Todd Lynn Andes, 59, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Monday morning, March 6, 2023, at his home east of Winfield.
Born March 9, 1963, in Winfield, he was the son of Gary Lynn and Connie J. (Henderson) Andes. He was raised and received his education in Winfield. When his father passed away in 1980, Todd took over operations of the family farm.
Todd married Cindy Young in Winfield and the couple made their home on the family farm east of Winfield. To this union, three children were born. The couple later divorced.
In 1993, he started a relationship with Reida Miller and the couple made their home in Frog Hollow. To this union three children were born. Todd spent his lifetime growing the family farm and creating a legacy with the help of his children, family, and family friends.
He was a member of Tisdale United Methodist Church, Kansas Farm Bureau, and Future Farmers of America. In addition to farming and ranching, he enjoyed singing, trips to Table Rock Lake, working on tractors, watching his kids and grandkids compete in Figure 8 races, and engaging in a good conversation with anyone and everyone.
His family includes his wife Reida Miller of Winfield; his children, Garylynn Miller and husband, Austin of Winfield; Kasha David and husband, Morgan of Winfield; Geremy Andes and wife, Georganna of Winfield; Vegas Andes of Winfield; Reno Andes of Winfield; Chetta Andes and Levi Mahlandt of Udall; his mother Connie Andes of Winfield; his sister Trudy Andes Campbell and husband, Travis of Winfield; his grandchildren, Mikayla, Morgan, Nathan, Gary, Rylynn, Kynlee, Treyson, Hopelynn, Gaxson, Kynlee, Sterling; his great grandchildren, Rilee, Kamerynn, and two on the way; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his father, Todd was preceded in death by a granddaughter Hadley Andes and a grandson Braden Andes.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, March 10, 2023, at Central Baptist Church in Winfield. A visitation is scheduled at Miles Funeral Service on Thursday from 4 to 8 P.M. The family will greet visitors during this time. In true Todd fashion there will be a barn party at a later date to further celebrate his life.
Memorials have been established in Todd's name for Winfield FFA and Central of Burden FFA. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
