Obituary

Timothy Earl Sutton, 64, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at his home.

Born October 28, 1957, in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of Earl W. Sutton and Judith "Judy" Howe. He was raised and received his education in the Cambridge and Burden areas. Following school, Timothy worked in construction. He worked all over the United States including Arizona, Oregon, and Nevada. In his mid 30's, he began work as an over the road truck driver. He went back into construction and was hurt on the job, disabling him. He then moved to Wichita, where he has been for over 20 years.

Tim was a soft-spoken man who came to know God in the days before his passing. He loved his family dearly. He was a man of few words who spoke from the heart. He enjoyed playing cards and dominos. He had a great love of animals and nature. He was a generous and authentic spirit and was a friend to all. Tim was very intelligent, and he loved to cook.

His family includes his mother Judy Rakestraw of Winfield; his father Earl Sutton of Arkansas City; his brother Alan Sutton and wife Rondee of Rose Hill; his sister Theresa Rogian of Dallas, TX; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Timothy was preceded in death by a sister Deb Crow, his step-mother Pat Sutton, and his step-father LeRoy Rakestraw.

The family will hold private memorial services at a later date. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made in Timothy's name for the Mental Health Association. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
