Timothy "Tim" L. Moore, 62, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Monday evening, December 26, 2022, at William Newton Hospital.
Born January 3, 1960, in Winfield, he was the son of Kenneth L., Sr. and Sarah "Elaine" (Keithley) Moore. He was raised and received his education in Winfield. As a young man, he worked for a short time for the Santa Fe Railroad.
In 1978, Tim married Brenda Mendenhall at Strother Field. The couple made their first home in Winfield before moving to Wyoming where Tim worked for a rock quarry. In 1980, they returned to Winfield. To this couple, a daughter was born. They later divorced. In 1983, he married Connie Jeanette Ketts. The couple made their home in Winfield and had two sons. They later divorced.
Tim spent most of his life working construction, specializing in roofing. In 2004, he began working as a welder at Fluid Kinetics where he remained until retiring due to medical concerns. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and enjoyed drinking beer at the dam, coloring, watching the Young and the Restless and Jerry Springer. He especially enjoyed hanging out with his grandkids.
His family includes his children, Melissa Fisher and husband, Tommy, Jr. of Wichita; Dustin Moore and wife, Andrea of Winfield; Brandon Pate and wife, Brooke of Winfield; his brothers, Kenneth Moore, Jr. of Winfield.; Dennis Moore of Winfield; Charles "Bill" Moore and wife, Holly of Winfield; his sisters, Kristina Platter and husband, Doug of Winfield; Robin McCoy of Winfield; Angela Jones and husband, Gerald "Jr." of Winfield; Melinda "Mindy" Bidwell and husband, Matt of Winfield; his grandchildren, Tommy III, Jordan, Makynze, Milee, Logan, Landon, Bexley, and Liam; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 31, 2022, at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled on Friday from 4 to 8 P.M. The family will greet visitors from 4 to 6 that evening.
A memorial has been established in Tim's name for the COPD Foundation. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
