Thomas L. Turner, 65, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Sunday afternoon, March 20, 2016 surrounded by family and friends at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
Born August 19, 1950 in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of Cecil Lee and Margaret (Parker) Turner. He was raised and received his education in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School in 1968. He then attended Wichita State University and Southwestern College. While at Southwestern, he was a member of the golf team. He later transferred to the University of Kansas where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology in 1974. After school, he joined his father at Winfield Laundry and Dry Cleaning.
Tom was united in marriage to Belinda Cook on June 4, 1977 in Winfield, Kansas. The couple made their home in Winfield where Tom continued to own and operate Winfield Laundry and Dry Cleaning and was the third generation of his family to do so.
He was a member of the Winfield Country Club. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed reading and watching sports with his buddies.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday evening from 4 to 8 P.M. The family will greet visitors from 6 to 7 that evening.
Memorials have been established in Tom's name for the American Diabetes Association and for the Cowley County Humane Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
