Thomas L. "Tommy" Weeks, Jr., 35, of Augusta, Kansas, formerly of Winfield, passed away Thursday morning, April 14, 2016 at his home.
Born December 31, 1980 in Wichita, Kansas, he was the son of Thomas L. Weeks, Sr., and Mary Elizabeth Dolan. As a young man, he was involved in the Boy Scouts of America Troop 314 and received his Eagle Scout. He was raised and received his education in Winfield graduating from Winfield High School in 1999. While in high school, he was involved in community theatre, swimming and was a member of the Winfield High School football team.
After school, he joined the United States Army and proudly served his country. After his honorable discharge, Tommy attended Kansas State University. He then returned to Winfield where he worked several jobs in the Winfield area.
He enjoyed raising chickens, fishing, the St. Louis Cardinals and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and especially loved spending time with his daughter, Acacia.

His twin sister: Theresa Papon and husband, Eric of Mulvane;

His brother: Matthew Jirak of Wichita; and
Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Tommy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bill and Bette Dolan, his paternal grandparents, George and Della Weeks, and an aunt, Barbara Mills.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Christian Church in Winfield. Inurnment will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service on Monday evening, April 18, 2016 from 5 to 9 P.M. The family will greet visitors during this time.
Memorials have been established in Tommy's name for Acacia Jane Weeks education fund at RCB Bank and for Boy Scouts of America Troop 314. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
