THERESA ADELLA CHASE, 82, of Udall, Kansas, passed away Monday afternoon December 8, 2014 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

Born on September 29, 1932 in the Republic of Singapore, she was the daughter of James Gabriel and Annie Athel (Scott) Fernandez. She was raised and received her education in Singapore.

Theresa was united in marriage to Gardner E. Chase on November 16, 1978 in Singapore. They moved to the United States in 1979 and resided in Udall. She was a fulltime mother. Gardner preceded her in death on October 22, 1997.

She was a member of the Udall Nazarene Church. She enjoyed family, sewing, cooking, visiting friends in the community and loved animals.

Her family includes:
Her sons: Laurence Bautista of Thailand; and Steve Chase and wife Theresa of Wichita KS
Her 4 brothers and 4 sisters;
Her grandchildren: Mohd Rizal Rushdi, Paulina Bautista and Isabeau Mae Chase;and
Her 3 great-grandsons: Rayyan, Rhandy, and Raimy Rushdi.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her 16 siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, December 11, 2014 at the Udall Nazarene Church. Interment will follow at the Udall Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., December 10, 2014 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield.

A memorial has been established in Theresa's name for the Udall Nazarene Church. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
