Terry Lynn Halstead, 54, of Winfield, passed away Thursday morning, October 15, 2009 at her home.
Born January 26, 1955 in Winfield, Kansas, she was the daughter of Lee King and Ann Munson. She was raised and received her education in Winfield.
Terry was united in marriage to Howard Ray Halstead in Winfield, Kansas. The couple traveled all around the world while Howard was in the United States Army. Terry particularly enjoyed living in Germany. They returned to Kansas in the early 1980's. To this union six children were born. The couple later divorced.
Terry worked in the Winfield area as a CNA for many years, working at several area nursing homes. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, collecting dolphin and bear figurines, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Her grandchildren: Zachary Weller, Damian Weller, Dakota Weller, Thomas Halstead, Devin Halstead, and Justin Headly;
Her sisters: Dawn Andes and husband, Klay of Winfield; Kim King of Winfield; Connie King of Winfield; Angie King of Winfield; and
Her brothers: Tony Webber and wife, Shelley of Winfield; Randy Randall of Winfield.
She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, and two sisters Jacqueline Devaughan, and Michelle King.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 19, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Interment will follow at Atlanta Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.
A Memorial has been established in Mrs. Halstead's name to help defray funeral expenses. Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service.
