Miss Taylor Murphy was born on April 3, 1998 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Falissa Alexander and Tracy Murphy Sr. God stretched his heavenly hand for Taylor on Thursday January 23, 2014.
Taylor was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather James Alexander, paternal grandmother Dorothy Murphy and a brother Michael Young.
Taylor attended Indianapolis Public Schools while in Indianapolis until she relocated to Winfield, Kansas in 2008 where she attended Winfield School System and was a sophomore at Winfield High School where she excelled in all she did academically and athletically .
Taylor loved cheerleading and was a member of the cheerleading squad where she loved making headbands for the squad to wear for all the games. Taylor was also a member of the volleyball team and choir as well as an inspiring ballerina and tap dancer. Taylor was a very talented young lady who loved all animals and had a goal of becoming a veterinarian and a lawyer.
Taylor's favorite saying was "I have three daddies and they always spoil me". Her favorite color was pink. She was excited about getting her driving license. Taylor always cared about others and their well-being. Taylor enjoyed and loved hanging out with her friends, getting her hair and nails done.
Taylor or TayTay as she was affectionately known was a loving daughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Taylor leaves to cherish her loving memories, her loving and devoted mother and step-father Falissa and Darin O'Neal, Father- Tracy Murphy Sr (Brenda); a loving and devoted God father- Earl Wayne Wilson Jr.; four brothers- Tracy Young, George Young, Josh and a very special brother Alex Murphy. Three sisters: Tracey, Kiarra and Jasmine Murphy Maternal Grandmother- Stella Woods, Step Grandparents- Ken Handshaw (Betty), Maternal Uncle- Alexander Murphy, Paternal Uncle- Oscar Harris(Benita), Step Uncle- David O'Neal (Cecilia) Maternal Aunts- Sharon Bates, Taylor Boyd (Eugene), Vivian Cooper (Lieutenant), Tressea Wilkerson (David), Tarie Harris (Nate) and a great paternal Aunt- Ruth Morris (Steve) Step Aunts- Peg Arens (Paul), Pat LaPointe (Charlie) and a host of nephews, nieces cousins and friends.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Christian Church in Winfield. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
