Tara Lynn Potter, 43, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018 at her home.
Born August 5, 1975 in Winfield, Kansas, she was the daughter of Stan Potter and Diana Musick. She was raised and received her education in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School in 1993. While in high school, she began working as a Teller at First National Bank in Winfield.
Tara was united in marriage to Ashley Ingram on July 2, 1994 in Winfield. The couple made their home in Winfield, where Tara continued working at First National Bank. She later began her career with Winfield Consumer Products where she remained for over 18 years. Tara and Ashley had two sons, Austin and Cole, and later divorced. Tara returned to school, attending Cowley County Community College before transferring to Pratt, where she received her degree in nursing. Tara has worked as a nurse for the last several years in many area nursing homes and hospitals. She enjoyed golfing and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Her family includes her sons, Austin Ingram of Winfield; Cole Ingram of Winfield; her father Stan Potter and Cindy of Winfield; her mother Diana Musick of Winfield; her brother Dylan Potter of Kansas City; her significant other Jason E. Meyers of Winfield; and her grandsons, Landon and Cade Ingram.
Tara was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Raymond and Phyllis Potter and her uncle Raymond Potter, Jr.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 26, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 2 to 6 P.M. The family will greet visitors during this time. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
A memorial has been established in Tara's name for her children and grandchildren. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
