Taeng Sphabmixay, 94, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at William Newton Hospital.

Born March 5, 1927 in Samneua, Laos, she was the daughter of Phimmasane and Phanh Sphabmixay. She married Phom Muong Sphabmixay in 1942 and he preceded her in death in March 1966. Taeng came to Winfield on September 16, 1985. She made her career as a homemaker.

Her family includes her children, Gary (Bonita) Sphabmixay of Winfield; Chak (Boua) Sphabmixay of Australia; Bor (Phout) Sphabmixay of Australia; Kongsy (Houamphanh) Vorasane of Winfield; Chomsy Sengkham of Winfield; 16 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and four brothers and sisters.

Buddhist funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service. Cremation will follow at Reflection Pointe in Wichita.
