Sue Carol Blizard, 75, formerly of Winfield, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011 at her home in Cherokee Village, Arkansas.
Born November 27, 1936 in Anthony, Kansas she was the daughter of William and Bertha Ross. She was raised and received her education in southeast Kansas, graduating from Winfield High School in 1955.
Sue was united in marriage to Don Blizard on August 6, 1956 in Newkirk, Oklahoma. The couple made their home in Winfield where Sue was a dedicated homemaker and caring mother. After Don retired in 2002, the couple moved to Cherokee Village, Arkansas.
Sue enjoyed tole painting, ceramics, and all kinds of crafts. She also enjoyed going antiquing with friends.

Her son: Jerry Blizard and wife, Holly of Lees Summit, Missouri;
Her daughters: Deborah Wheaton and husband, Richard of Winfield, Kansas; Kathy Spoon and husband, Dale of Winfield, Kansas; Vicki Majors and husband Tim of Winfield, Kansas;
Her brother: Bill Ross and wife, Gloria of Pineville, Missouri;
Her nine Grandchildren; nineteen Great Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents Sue was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 30, 2011 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Inurnment will follow at Highland Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in Sue's name for the Alzheimer Foundation. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
