STEVEN BOONE MCBRIDE, 46, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday morning, January 11, 2014 at his mothers home.

Born on January 20, 1967 in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of Gary E. and Sandra Sue (Reuther) Tucker. He was raised in Winfield and later Topeka, Kansas where he graduated from Topeka High School in 1985.
Steven managed an auto shop in Great Bend, Kansas and later owned and operated one in Winfield as well.

He was united in marriage to Kim Herrmann and the couple later divorced. Steven married Becky Boomershine-King and they divorced.

He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and working on his truck.

His family includes:
His daughters: Lindsey Hodges and husband Damon of Tulsa, OK; and Skylar McBride and husband Great Bend, KS;
His parents: Gary & Sue Tucker of Winfield, KS;
His brothers: Brent McBride and wife Bambi of Missouri; Brandon McBride of Winfield, KS;
Brandon Tucker and wife Rita of Arkansas City, KS: and Ricci Tucker of Winfield, KS;
His sisters: Jamie Drake and husband Matt of Winfield, KS; and Leah Jenkins and husband Chris of Arkansas City, KS;
His step-son Micheal King and wife Lindsay of Winfield, KS;
His step-daughters: Krystal King and Brandy King both of Winfield, KS;
His grandchildren: Gage, Jayden, Darius, Adalynn, Olivia, Addyson, Knox, Alexis, Cameron, Kaitlyn and Bridget;
A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and
His beloved pet companions, Sandra, Ricky and Boots.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Casey Tucker; and grandparents, George & Grace Reuther and Earl & Theda Tucker.

A memorial service will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M., Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the Comfort Inn south of Winfield.

A memorial has been established in Steven's name to help defray funeral expenses. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
