Stephanie Lois Butterfield King Lynne, 72, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away May 7, 2016 after a three year battle with cancer.
Stephanie was born on July 24, 1943 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Myrtle and Roy Butterfield and was raised in Winfield by Florence and Clarence King and Connie Madrigal. She was a 1961 graduate of Winfield High School and graduated from UNLV School of Nursing in 1974.
Stephanie met her husband, Jim, in Las Vegas where she was living at the time. Shortly thereafter, they returned to Winfield to be with the Kings. Stephanie left nursing to become a photographer and in the late 1980's, she opened 'King's Portraits by Stephanie' and ran it until the business was closed.
As a 25 year member of Soroptimist International of Winfield, Stephanie held many offices including President, Secretary and Parliamentarian, and also chaired many committees including several at District and Region levels.
She was preceded in death by her birth parents and the Kings, brothers, Greg King and Ed King and grandson, Jordan Guesman.
She is survived by:

Daughter: Natalie Guesman-Reynolds and husband, James of Las Vegas, NV;
Son: Timothy Guesman and wife, Adrienne of Las Vegas, NV;
Sister: Christine Beckom and husband, George of Hudson, NC;
Grandchildren: Lauren Beverly, Tanner Reynolds, Taylor Reynolds, and Alexxis Guesman all of Las Vegas, NV, and Kostner Bailey and wife, Leah of Beaverton, OR;
Sister-in-law: Melinda King of Winfield; and
Lifetime family member: Connie Madrigal of Winfield.
A come and go celebration of life for Stephanie will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 5 to 7 P.M. at the Senior Citizen's Center at Baden Square.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Cowley County Safe Homes. Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service.
