Stanton Elliott Potter, 65, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday morning, August 6, 2022, in Winfield.

Born May 17, 1957, in Arkansas City, he was the son of Raymond and Phyllis (Hill) Potter. He was raised and received his early education in Arkansas City until his family moved to Winfield. Stan graduated from Winfield High School in 1975. Following school, he immediately went to work for his father and other companies as a roughneck in the oil fields. He later helped run the Wellington Steakhouse until beginning his career as a Food Supervisor for Aramark Food Service.

Stan was a member of the Canyon Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He especially loved arrowhead, deershed, and morel hunting.

His family includes his son Dylan Potter of Kansas City, MO; his grandsons, Austin and Cole Ingram of Winfield; his son-in-law Ashley Ingram of Winfield; his significant other for many years Cindy Shore of Winfield; and friend Diana Musick.

In addition to his parents, Stan was preceded in death by his daughter Tara Ingram and his brother Raymond Potter, Jr.

The family will hold private memorial services.
