STANLEY TOPPER, 68, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Friday afternoon, January 24, 2014 at his home.
Born May 5, 1945 in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of Benton Franklin and Wilma (Widener) Topper. He was raised and educated in Winfield. Stan was united in marriage to Gloria E. Graham on December 2, 1963 in Winfield, Kansas. The couple made their home in Winfield. Stan worked in painting at Cessna Aircraft and was a mechanic at Ralph's Auto Salvage. He and Gloria later owned and operated S&G Auto Repair. Gloria preceded him in death on May 22, 2009.
He was a member of Arkansas City First Assembly of God Church. He and Gloria were members of the Tumbleweeds Car Club and Stan ran with the Goldwing Club though he never officially joined. He enjoyed the outdoors, boating, skiing, camping and participating in demolition derbys and four wheeling. He loved anything with a motor, old cars and especially riding his motorcycle and going to bike rallys.

His daughter: Avis Sadre and husband, Jimmy of Phoenix, AZ;
His mother: Wilma Topper of Winfield;
His brother: Jerry Topper of Atlanta;
His sisters: Patty Wiley of Wichita; and Beverly Cox of Winfield;
His grandchildren: Ashley, Bryce, Brian, Tavis, Kelly, Jayla, Stanlisha, Danee, Amber, Alec, Aryanna and Reza; and
His 26 great grandchildren.
Stan was preceded in death by his father, Benton Topper, his wife, Gloria Topper and his brother, Tommy Topper.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 4 to 8. The family will greet visitors during this time.
A Memorial has been established in Stan's name for the American Cancer Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
