Shirley Ann Richardson, 81, of Winfield, Kansas, went home to her Savior on December 5, 2019.

The family will hold memorial services on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Winfield.

Shirley was born on December 31, 1937 in Ellsworth, Kansas to Alfred W. and Lilly A. (Heinze) Katzenmeier. She was reared and educated in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School in 1955.

On April 1, 1956, Shirley married Harold L. Richardson in Winfield where the couple made their home and raised their children. Shirley loved spending time at the family cabin at Sunset Lake in Oklahoma. She cherished her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved to paint pictures, dance, and play cards.

She was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Shirley worked as secretary to the pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church, as secretary to the president at St. John's College, and at Rubbermaid in the office.

Survivors include her two daughters, Connie Barger and Chris (Charlie) Miller of Winfield; four grandchildren, Lindsay and Molly Barger, Erin and Nathan (Lindsay) Miller; two great grandchildren, Lily Barger and Kyson Clark; and a sister, Donna Miller of Wellington.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold Richardson, a brother Al Katzenmeier, and a sister Betty Herman.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran School. Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service.
