SHIRLEY ANDERSON, 80, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday morning, March 12, 2011 at her home.
Born on October 3, 1930 in Kansas City, Kansas, she was the daughter of Fred and Lola May (Harvey) Anderson. She moved to Winfield in 1939 and resided at the Winfield State School. She had resided at Creative Community Living since 2002. Shirley loved dressing up, holding babies and could always be found with a doll in her hand. She was known as the "house greeter" and loved company.
Her family includes:
Her guardians: Julie Negrete and Miguel Negrete; and
Her caregivers at Creative Community Living.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Interment will follow at the Winfield State Hospital Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., at the funeral home.
A memorial has been established in Shirley's name for Creative Community Living. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
