Shelline K. Williams, 100, formerly of Everton, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Winfield Rest Haven.

Born August 26, 1919 in Everton, Arkansas, she was one of five children born to Arthur E. and Bertha (Nelson) Taylor. She was raised and educated in Everton.

Shelline was united in marriage to Ernest Williams on October 10, 1936. They made their home in Everton until moving to Winfield, Kansas in 1955. Shelline was employed by Litwins Clothing Store, Cunningham Music, and Daniels Ready Mix, retiring in 1995. Mr. Williams preceded her in death on December 16, 1999.

She was attended First United Methodist Church in Winfield. She enjoyed sewing, making puppets for church, quilting, gospel music, gardening, cooking, attending Blue Grass with her husband Ernest, and more than anything she loved her family.

Her family includes her daughter Betty Daniels of Winfield; her granddaughters, Shona L. Turner and husband, Jimmie; Danielle Hovey and husband, Roland; five great grandchildren, Shanell Isom and husband Craig; Jeremiah Salzman and wife, Amanda; Jordan Hovey and wife, Elissa; Madison Metzinger and husband, Devin; Allyson Herlocker and husband, Aubrey; 12 great-great grandchildren and two great-great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Shelline was preceded in death by a brother Winston Taylor, and three sisters, Mary Morris, Arthurine Trotter, and Dexter Brown.

Private graveside services will be held at Highland Cemetery. A viewing is scheduled for Sunday afternoon from 3 to 5 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield.

A memorial has been established in Shelline's name for Winfield Rest Haven. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
