Obituary

SHEILA S. SCOTT, 59, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Wednesday afternoon, February 19, 2014 at William Newton Hospital.

Born on August 27, 1954 in Duncan, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Thurman Lee and Donnie Sue (Davidson) Hopper. She was raised in Duncan and later Texas. Sheila graduated from Winfield High School in 1972.

She was united in marriage to Robert Goosey in Raton, New Mexico. The couple later divorced. Sheila had worked at Binney & Smith and later Good Samaritan Village in the housekeeping department. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Her family includes:
Her daughter: Sharla Arndt and husband James of Arkansas City, KS;
Her brother: Alan Hopper of Fairbault, MN;
Her sister: Sherri Hasbrouck of Tucson, AZ;
Her grandchildren: Elizabeth Arndt and Caleb Goosey; and
Her niece, Danielle Hopper and nephew, Darrell Ozbun.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Larry Hopper.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M, Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Miles Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Grenola, Kansas. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday, February 24, 2014. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M., that evening.

A memorial has been established in Sheila's name for the American Heart Association. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
