Sharon Lynn Wilson, 84, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Saturday morning, November 8, 2025, at her home.

Sharon was born October 28, 1941, in Los Angeles, California.  She was the daughter of Wayne and Betty Gibson.  Her family moved to Wichita, Kansas, where she was raised and received her education, graduating from Wichita East High School in 1959.

She was united in marriage to David Wilson on March 8, 1959.  She finished school, and then joined her husband who was serving in the military, in California.  The couple stayed in California for two years and returned to Wichita.  They remained in Wichita until 1971 when they moved to Kansas City, Missouri.  Sharon worked in the sewing industry.  She worked in retail for some time but her favorite work was teaching sewing.  She taught classes for embroidery and sewing machines.  She enjoyed sewing doll clothing and doll house accessories.  She also enjoyed quilting and painting landscapes.

Her family includes her husband David of Kansas City, MO; her daughter Stacey Harding of Kansas City, MO; her granddaughters, Stephanie Soule and husband, Darrell of Riverside, MO; Katie Peoples and husband, Bret of Lansing, KS; and four great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by a son David Scott Wilson.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 14, 2025, at Latham Cemetery, under the direction of Miles Funeral Service.
