Sharon L. Lockyear, 73, of Forsyth, Missouri, died Saturday, January 29, 2017, in Cox Health Care, Branson, Missouri following a brief illness.
Sharon Lou Lockyear was born Saturday, February 13, 1943, in Winfield, KS to Basil Mason and Marjorie Louise (Nichols) Clark. She attended school in Winfield and graduated from Winfield High School in the class of 1961. Sharon was employed by the Binney & Smith Crayola Manufacturing Co., and worked in several departments in the plant. She retired in 1995. She met William E. (Bill) Lockyear in the late 1960's. They were married June 24, 1971 in Miami, OK. After her retirement, she and Bill moved to Shell Knob, MO and later to Forsyth, MO.

Sharon was a friendly person who brought out the good in everyone. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed life. She was a very loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, as well as cooking and taking care of her dog, Molly.
She is survived by three sons, Howard Lockyear of Mt. Vernon, WA, Scott Lockyear of Emporia, KS, Monty Lockyear and wife, Kerri of Des Moines, IA; two daughters, Cindy Burkett and husband, Mike of Marietta, GA, Lori Applegate and husband, Kirk of Kissee Mills, MO; thirteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bill Lockyear.

Graveside services for Sharon will be held Friday, February 3, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Highland Cemetery. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
