Shannon E. Brown, 65, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away Monday evening, February 25, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.

Born May 2, 1953 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of Harry and Ethel Rosin. She was raised and received her education in Milwaukee.

She was united in marriage to Lloyd H. Brown, Jr. on January 21, 1972 in Bell, Texas. The couple made their first home in Ft. Hood, Texas where Lloyd was stationed in the Army. They later transferred to Germany and returned to Texas after his honorable discharge. In 1983, the family moved to Wichita, Kansas to be near family. While in Wichita, Shannon worked as an Inventory Clerk for Goodwill. She dedicated her life to be a loving homemaker. She enjoyed fishing, playing bingo, and spending time with her family. Mr. Brown preceded her in death on September 15, 2013.

Her family includes her daughter Dawn Rosin of Wichita; her sons, Dwayne Brown and wife, Shara of Wichita; Roger Brown and wife, Cathy of Cherokee; Rick Brown and wife, Shawn of Haysville; her brother Roger Rosin of Las Vegas, NV; and her eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Shannon was preceded in death by a sister Carol Rosin and a brother Dennis Rosin.

Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, March 1, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery in Winfield. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial has been established in Shannon's name for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
