Sandra "Sue" Tucker, 76, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday evening, January 23, 2021 at her home.

Born December 7, 1944 in Winfield, she was the daughter of George and Grace (DeFore) Reuther. She was raised and received her education in Winfield. Following school Sue worked for several area business, until beginning her career with Binney and Smith in 1981.

Sue was united in marriage to Gary Tucker on May 15, 1982 in Winfield. The couple made their first home in Winfield, where Sue continued working for Binney and Smith. In 1986 the family moved to Phoenix, Arizona when Gary was transferred with the Rainbow Bread Company. Gary's work moved the family all over the country including living in Muncie, Indiana, and El Paso, Texas. They later returned to Winfield and Sue returned to work at Binney and Smith until its closing in 1997. She then worked for a short time for the Pierce Company before beginning at Braum's where she remained until retiring in 2007. Sue enjoyed being outside planting flowers and working in her garden. She also enjoyed visiting with friends on Facebook and playing Farmville. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Her family includes her husband Gary Tucker of Winfield; her children, Jamie Drake and husband, Matt of Winfield; Leah Jenkins and husband, Chris of Arkansas City; Brandon McBride of Winfield; Brandon Tucker and Kathy of Tulsa, OK; Ricci Tucker of Winfield; her siblings, Evelyn Crane and husband, Roy of Winfield; Jim Reuther and wife, Diane of Derby; Jetta Fletcher and husband, Murray of Manitoba, Canada; her sister-in-law Barbara Martin of Winfield; her grandchildren, John McBride III, Breann French, Shane Parsons, Jayla Henley, Abby Werth, Chance Jenkins, Treven McBride, Chase Tucker, McKinzie Tucker, Lindsey Hodges, Brittany Tucker, Tiffany McBride, Dustin Tucker, Stormy McBride, Maveric Tucker, Bo Tucker, Casey Tucker, and Clayton Jenkins, and her 30 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by a sister Patricia Reuther, three children, John "Brent" McBride Jr., Steven McBride, and Casey Tucker, and a daughter-in-law Bambi McBride.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 28, 2021, at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Interment will follow at Akron Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday evening, January 27, 2021 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. The family will greet visitors from 4 to 6 that evening.

A memorial has been established in Sue's name for RiverCross Hospice. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
