Samuel Robert Solomon, 17, of Winfield, Kansas passed away Saturday morning, March 30, 2013.
Born April 1, 1995, in Denver, Colorado, he was the son of Robert and Kathy (Wilkinson) Solomon. He was raised and received his education in Winfield where he was attending Winfield High School. While attending school he worked part time at both Gottlob's Landscaping and RS Electric.
He was a member of Maple City Christian Church. Sam enjoyed FFA, fishing, hanging out with friends and family, participating in local youth groups, and solving Rubik's Cubes. His passion was music. In addition to being in the orchestra, he was planning on attending Southwestern and majoring in music.

Sam was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul Gentry, Ruby Rodriguez, Alfred Rodriguez, and Bing Solomon, and his uncles, Stephen Brown and Mark Wilkinson.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Winfield. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service on Friday evening, April 5, 2013 from 4 to 8. The family will greet visitors that evening.
The Sam Solomon Memorial Fund has been established at Community National Bank. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
