SAMUEL WAYNE EDWARDS, 69, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Monday evening, March 25, 2013 at his home.
Born September 7, 1943 in Los Angeles, California, he was the son of Wayne Russel and Evelyn May (Floyd) Edwards. He was raised and educated in California, graduating from North High School in 1961.
Samuel worked as a night stockman for Dillons Grocery Store and also as a custodian for USD 465. He was a sports finatic and enjoyed watching all sports.
His family includes:
His children: Susan Fleenor and husband, Tim of Winfield; Tammy Wacker of Winfield; Bobby Edwards and wife, Shelly of California; and Mike Edwards and wife, Kim of California;
His step-son: Jason Hall of Winfield; and
His 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Samuel was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will hold private memorial services at a later date. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to help defray funeral expenses. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
