RYAN LEE FOSTER, 31, of Winfield, passed away quietly Saturday, March 10, 2012.
Born in Wichita, Kansas on September 9, 1980, Ryan was the son of John and Sarah (Petrie) Foster. He loved growing up on the family farm in Douglass surrounded by his family, animals and nature. Ryan resided in Winfield for the past 15 years at Creative Community Living. He was adored and loved by his wonderful caregivers and fellow residents.
Ryan attended the Spiritual Enhancement Circle while with CCL. He loved the outdoors, bowling, and going to the circus and the races. He especially loved music and lights and playing games. He adored animals and enjoyed his visits to the Cowley County Humane Society to visit the animals. Ryan thoroughly enjoyed his family visiting him at his home for celebrations.
Ryan brightened and touched the lives of everyone around him, and he will be forever loved and missed! He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend.
He is survived by:
His parents: John and Sarah Foster of Douglass;
His sister: Melanie Daley and husband, Joseph of Douglass;
His nieces: Lindsey, Lily and Larkin;
His nephew: Jacob;
His CCL mom: Christina Martin, as well as his other caretakers at CCL; and
His numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Juanita Petrie and Fred and Inez Foster, and his uncle, Marvin Foster.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Douglass. Private inurnment will take place at a later date. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
A Memorial has been established in Ryan's name for Creative Community Living in Winfield. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
