Ruth A. Clarke, 90, of Winfield, passed away Saturday morning, December 25, 2010 at Winfield Rest Haven.
Born April 08, 1920 in Winfield, Kansas she was the daughter of Charles C. and Essie (Kerr) Keeler. She was raised and received her education in Winfield.
She was united in marriage to Frank Clarke in Winfield. The couple made their home in the Winfield area where Ruth was a homemaker. The couple later divorced. She then went to work at Snyder Pharmacy and later for Clock Pharmacy.
Ruth was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting, word puzzles, and listening to gospel and country music.
Her family includes:
Her niece: Judy McIntosh Brooks of Montrose, CO;
Her nephew: Robert McIntosh of Enid, OK;
Her great nieces: Essie Ann; Marian;
Her great nephew: David; and
Her cousins: Mary Brewer; Jim Gropper; Cindy Huckvale; Betty Eastman all of Winfield.
In addition to her parents Ruth was preceded in death by her sister Mabel Lourene.
Private family graveside services have been scheduled. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
A Memorial has been established in Mrs. Clarke's name for the Winfield Food Pantry. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
