Roy L. Rhodd, 69, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at his home.

Born November 27, 1949 in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of Maurice L. and Avis Arlene (Hankins) Rhodd. His family lived in Dexter until 1955 when they moved to Farlington, Kansas and later, Toronto, Ottowa, then to Oklahoma at Sapulpa, Mannford, Keystone, and then returned to Dexter, Kansas. Roy graduated from Dexter High School in 1967. After high school he attended Cowley County Community College in Arkansas City, graduating with an Associates Degree in Bookkeeping. Roy worked as a bookkeeper most of his life in the agricultural industry. He had a kind heart and was a great son and brother, helping to care for his parents as they grew older. He loved dogs, animals, and enjoyed being around people. He also enjoyed working on cars and woodworking.

His family includes his brother Ray Rhodd (Sandy Davern) of Topeka; his sister Alice Shelton of Wichita; and his nephews, Brian Rhodd and his three children, Colter, Kinleigh, and Kolby of Holton; Bradley Rhodd of Kansas City; Steven Rhodd and his son, Steven, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC; Daniel Ehmke and wife, Maria and their daughter, Makayla of Wichita.

In addition to his parents Roy was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Jack Shelton.

A visitation will be held Saturday prior to services beginning at 11:00 A.M. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Dexter Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in Roy's name for Alcoholics Anonymous. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
