Roy R. Hohman, 75, of Dexter, Kansas, passed away Monday morning, September 21, 2015 at his home.
Born July 21, 1940 in Seneca County, Ohio, he was the son of Francis and Marie (Buchman) Hohman. He grew up on the family farm near New Riegel, Ohio.
Roy was united in marriage to Ann Smith, April 18, 1964 in Fremont, Ohio. In 1984 the family moved from Ohio to Vinita, Oklahoma. Roy farmed many years in production agriculture, receiving many awards for his accomplishments. Ann preceded him in death on January 26, 2010.
On June 14, 2012 he married Peggy Jewell in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. The couple moved to their current address in Dexter, Kansas.
His greatest reward was April 28, 1985 when he started his personal relationship with Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior. He was very active in several church families. He loved creating new ideas, be it in production agriculture, construction, landscaping or mechanical work. He also loved to cook and travel.

His daughter: Patricia Le and husband, Dan of Highland Village, TX;
His brother: Floyd Hohman and wife, Martha of McCutchenville, OH;
His sister: Doris Parkins and husband, Ron of Mumee, OH;
His sister-in-law: Diane Hohman of Findlay, OH;
His brother-in-law: Ron Smith of Bowling Green, OH; and
His grandchildren: Elizabeth Le Bolano; Nathen Le; Kyle Hohman; Megann Hohman; and Abby Hohman.
In addition to his parents and first wife, Roy was preceded in death by a son, Michael Hohman, a brother, Merle Hohman, and a sister, Ruth Smith.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 26, 2015 at First Assembly of God Church in Arkansas City, Kansas. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Ludwig Cemetery in Ludwig, Ohio. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials have been established in Roy's name for the Assembly of God World Missions and for the First Assembly of God in Arkansas City. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
