ROY E. EUDALY, 87, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Sunday evening, July 27, 2008 at the Kansas Veterans Home in Winfield.
Born on May 24, 1921 in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of Nathaniel Reece and Bessie Ann (Rolator) Eudaly. He was raised and received his education in the New Salem area. As a young man he farmed and helped his family.
A veteran of World War II, Mr. Eudaly proudly served his country in the United States Army 101st Airborne Infantry. He was stationed in England where he met and married Peggy Saffin on October 24, 1945. Following D-Day, Roy went from France to Munich and fought at the Battle of the Bulge. Following his honorably discharge, Roy returned to Winfield.
The couple made their home in Winfield where Roy worked for various employers. He retired in the mid 80's.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #10 and the K & O Steam and Gas Engine Association in Winfield. He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, the K & O Association and tractors. He also loved traveling and had made several trips to England.

His sister: Elsie Kilts of Winfield, KS;
His grandchildren: Allen Bodkins and companion Abby Underwood, Scott and Melissa Bodkins, Jason & Jennifer Randall and Jenny & Lendall Moore;
His great-grandchildren: Keylee & Zach Bodkins and Alex and Drew Randall.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Eudaly; his brother, Cecil Eudaly; his sisters, twin Lucinda Johnson, Mary Pierce and Ruth Anderson.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, August 1, 2008 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Inurnment will follow at Union Graham Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in Roy's name for the American Legion Post #10 in Winfield. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
