Rose (Roth) Moffit, 84 of Winfield, Kansas, passed away early Thursday morning, October 1, 2009.

Born September 9, 1925 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Rinaldo and Adele (Ghirotti) Romanini. She was raised and received her education in Philadelphia.

In June of 1946 she was united in marriage to Anthony S. Roth in Philadelphia. The couple made their home in the Philadelphia area where they raised their five children. Rose and her friends started a card club that they continued for over forty years, where they made friendships that have last a lifetime. Mr. Roth preceded her in death in September of 1977.

In April of 1983 Rose was united in marriage to Edward P. Moffit in Philadelphia where they lived together for over twenty years. Mr. Moffit preceded her in death in February of 2006.

In 2003 Rose moved to Winfield to live with her daughter and son-in-law.

She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the Sons of Italy. She enjoyed traveling, and especially cooking for her family. She also loved the Opera and Classical music.

Her stepsons: Robert Moffit and wife, Barbara of Severna Park, MD; Edward Moffit Jr. and wife Rose Mary of Philadelphia, PA;
Her stepdaughter: Alice Myers and husband, Michael of Jacksonville, FL;
Her 24 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husbands Rose was preceded in death by her brothers Fred and Bill Romanini; her sister Ilde Manetti; and two grandsons, Richard A. Roth Jr., and Billy Carroll.

Funeral Services will be held at a later date with DiGiacomo Funeral Home in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Local arrangements are by Miles Funeral Service in Winfield, Kansas.
