Obituary

Rosalea Hall, 97, of Oxford, Kansas, formerly Winfield, passed away early Sunday morning, September 4, 2016 at the Joy Home in Oxford.

Born March 13, 1919 in a farmhouse six miles south of Leon, Kansas, she was the daughter of Elmer Morton and Grace (Bogle) Cotton. She attended Logan Center Country School and later Leon High School. She was united in marriage to Clemence Hall on June 8, 1941 in Augusta, Kansas. The couple made their first home northwest of Atlanta and later in the Grand Prairie Community.

Rosalea worked at the Winfield State Hospital and Training Center as a Psychiatric Aid until her retirement in 1984. She enjoyed reading, playing dominoes and cards and traveling. Recently she enjoyed amusing her caretakers by singing little dittys as well as saying her ABC's backwards. Mr. Hall preceded her in death on January 22, 1989.

Her family includes:
Her sons: Dennis "Dale" Hall and wife, Donna of Winfield; Duane Ray "Red" Hall and wife, Guyleen of Winfield;
Her sister: Sharon Hohlfeld and husband, David of Derby;
Her six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Rosalea was preceded in death by her brother, Roy Cotton.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Atlanta Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 4 to 8 P.M. The family will greet visitors from 6 to 7 that evening.

A memorial has been established in Rosalea's name for Heartland Hospice. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
